"Enter into children's play, and you will find the place where their minds, hearts, and souls meet." - Virginia Axline

It is my honor to hold space for your child in a safe and welcoming environment– encouraging genuine communication from them in the form of play.

Most children under 10 are not able to communicate verbally the entire breadth of their experiences and opinions, as their abstract reasoning abilities have not fully developed. Complex and purely verbal communication involving abstract concepts and hypothetical situations is therefore limited. Instead, children this age express themselves through the universal language of childhood: play. In the presence of an empathetic and interpretive adult, children use toys, art, and movement to naturally convey their thoughts and feelings around any psychological difficulties they may be experiencing. I offer an accepting and nurturing environment for your child to test limits, express themselves without correction, and re-enact real-life relationships and experiences. This valuable time together often leads to improved self-understanding, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and self-esteem. This therapy can also be a powerful tool for healing from trauma and grief after abuse or loss.

I currently work as a Behavioral Therapy Technician and enjoy bringing art and play into my sessions with autistic children. Additionally, as an after-school volunteer at a hard-of-hearing preschool, I utilize my time with the kids to study, facilitate, and appreciate how children of all neurotypes engage in play.

I am always looking for new opportunities in my community to work with younger children in settings that engage them in emotional and mental health practices, and art and nature therapies.
